Very Nice hotel with clean rooms. Nice private beach and swimming pools with an awesome view. Superb breakfast and good restaurants ... Very quite and peaceful environment.

Some issue at the beach where sunbeds seem to be reserved by guests during hours. That should be fixed by hotel management. Moreover, waiters should collect dirty glasses and clean tables more often.

A real gem to spend wonderfully relaxing, healthy and sporty holidays

Warm welcome in the middle of the night (3 am). Fantastic Breakfast Buffet, even with hot Porridge and hot rice, there was really nothing missing. Super selection of fruit and vegetables, eggs in all shapes and forms, cheeses, vegan options, great variety of bread (white, brown, full corn, .... ) Good Group Fitness Offer, fantastic SPA with professional therapist (Ntinos). Super comfy sunbeds around the pool, down at the beach and dotted around in the gardens. Pool/Beach Bar worked with easy to install App - Drinks / Snack ordering worked via App and indication of your umbrella / tree number (labeled :-)) Amra Restaurant offered high quality authentic Greek dishes - lovely. Be careful with fresh fish - prices are by grams and we ended up paying 142 EUR just for the fish. This is the same everywhere in Crete and we had forgotten about it but therefore enjoyed every bite. The staff filleted the fish for us at the table. Everything else is very reasonably priced and the view is unbeaten. We had the Zen Sunrise Sea View Room and I got addicted to filming the Sunrise (7:15 am early October) from our balcony. Once, I took my tripod with me to the Breakfast Area and filmed (time lapse) from my table while having breakfast. Long story short: This hotel is absolutely recommendable.

The "public" toilets between reception and bar should be separated by Gender or at least offer cubicles with urinals - I found big puddles on the floor on several occasions for the lack of urinals and obviously some male users not being educated to sit down when toilets are shared across genders.

Healing stay in Crete

The design of the hotel overall is delightful. The lobby and the terrace, the Mediterranean gardens, the beach, the yoga-designated spots that overlook the harbor or the sea, the infinity pool, the palm and olive trees around the terrace, they all make the resort feel like heaven's garden. I really enjoyed their complimentary activities for guests (yoga, fitness, Spa access, music in the evenings) and tried & loved different treatments (massages, sound therapy, etc.) which made our stay really relaxing and healing! The à la carte menus at their restaurants (both the beach one and the main restaurant) were great, the portions were generous and the local wine varieties were impressive. We found the personnel to be very kind and we loved their uniforms, which made it feel like a very clean and comfortable place to be in. We also appreciated the silence and discreetness of the place, the music never being too loud and of course the guests being as respectful of the location as you'd expect it from an adults-only hotel. Extra mention for actually sticking to the environmental-safety policy and not changing the towels hanging on the hook - many hotels print that on their walls but never respect it and end up changing your towels daily.

There are some minor things that made us not give the maximum grade, though. Namely, I disliked the design of the Sunset room - I totally get the split between toilet and shower but placing the lavatory in the hallway is not a smart move, and the overtop sink cannot be used without getting the entire top and floor soaked. In our room we also had an issue with the ceiling fan which would start on its own at night! We switched it off, it would start back on. It happened 2 nights out of 5 and although we mentioned it at the reception in the first night, it didn't get fixed. We suspect the remote of the apartment above was reaching our fan and when someone used it there, our fan would switch on too. The mattresses were too soft for us and the duvet too thick, so it was hard to get a good night's sleep. There were also some minor hiccups with the cleaning personnel - aside the fact that they'd come 2-3 times a day in our room (we figured it based on the number of times they changed our hand towels, which we sometimes only used once!) - they always seemed to forget something (they'd either leave only small or big hand towels, almost never both, they once forgot to leave the bed-side carpets, at the end of the stay we only received decaf capsules at the mini-bar). We're not fussy people so we didn't complain about each little thing at the reception, but overall, if you consider it's a 5-stars hotel and the prices are amongst the highest in Crete, you'd expect the service to be as impeccable as the hotel's look. The breakfast buffet, while it had sufficient variety (though we've tried best at other 5-stars hotels) it was way too focused on their main tourist groups, i.e. German and English. Also, it seemed like nothing aside from bread and sweets assortments changed in 5 days - we found the same veggies, cheeses, hams and fruits, omelets and sausages each day.
